MORE INFO:
One thing I know for sure about hunting for really special vintage is that you end up meeting or finding out about the coolest people in the least conventional ways.

Long story short- I ended up tracking down a living legend in London who has been sourcing and customizing very hard to find (and very valuable) vintage leather jackets for over 20 years. His customized jackets have been featured in British Vogue and he continues to create epic works of art to this day, which were sold at high end shops for over $1000, and found at world famous outdoor fashion markets.

To my bewilderment and elation, he responded very kindly to my email praising his work and after confirming Backbite was a good fit, made arrangements to purchase some jackets.

I tell you all of this, beloved Backbite customer or peruser, because I love the history and stories behind vintage pieces and like to share, especially when it involves a mega-talented legend and/or highly priced item.

Purchasing these one of a kind jackets was a big risk for me this month, but I'm hoping you love them as much as I do and decide to make one of them yours. I have one of my own that I will cherish and wear forever.
Vintage purchases are final sale.

You might dig this stuff, too!
