'California Outlaw' Extraordinary Vintage Leather Jacket
Well holy shit, dontcha think? If Evel Knievel were a woman, this would have been her jacket of choice. This has far too much going on with each detail for us to really go into it, but we'll try to sum things up for you.
The leather is unbelievably fluid smooth and soft, you could likely roll the whole jacket up into a ball of soft leather heaven (just made that up), it's that flexible. It features a multiple stitching techniques with the seams, including a nice baseball-like whipstitch, as well as a corset grommet stitching in two places down each side. This beauty also has..ahh we are too excited about this!...It has a satiny soft snakeskin patterned inside lining, that is immaculately intact.
Oh, and yes, it is covered in various vintage pins patches collected by Casey throughout the years. 28, to be exact. All hand picked, with each patch hand sewn into the leather while not even disturbing the interior lining, at that. Imagine our tired hands and needlepoint blood shed from doing crazy wizardry sewing through leather, like that. Really. Blood and aching bones, no joke.
Leather shows signs of wear, some rivets have tarnished a little, left sleeve is without leather lacing.
