One Of A Kind Chain-Stitched Thrashed Levi's Denim Jacket
Another masterpiece customized by our friend who has had the chain-stitching craft in his family for over 70 years! This amazing thing features a huge vibrant skull with wings and two 1970's patches. The jacket is PERFECTION: totally thrashed, worn, and everything we look for in a denim jacket.
Chain stitch is a sewing and embroidery technique in which a series of looped stitches form a chain-like pattern. Chain stitch is an ancient craft - examples of surviving Chinese chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread have been dated to the 5th – 3rd century BC.
Chain stitching the back of this jacket took 5-6 straight hours. The pricing on these jackets is higher in order to pay the skilled craftsmen what they deserve for their work and art.
Thrashed with discolorations, pen markings, fraying, fading, some holes.
