- OZZY FOR PRESIDENT - Chain Stitched Worn Vintage Vest

Passed down his family for over 70 years, our good friend Sean truly is the master of chain-stitching. He specialty is stitching directly onto old jackets & vests using antique tools and threads to go along with all of his collected vintage clothing. This old indigo vest not only includes a huge backside chain stitched Ozzy, but also 9 hand sewn patches, 4 lapel pins, and is lined with hammered rivets. Ozzy is stitched directly onto the denim - not a patch!

Faded, worn, soft and distressed denim, hand sewn vintage patches.

Chain stitch is a sewing and embroidery technique in which a series of looped stitches form a chain-like pattern. Chain stitch is an ancient craft - examples of surviving Chinese chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread have been dated to the 5th – 3rd century BC. Chain-stitching the back of this jacket took 5-6 straight hours. The pricing on these jackets is higher in order to pay the skilled craftsmen what they deserve for their work and art.
